Working Together to Stay Safe and Offer Support
In light of the devastating Monument Fire of June 2011, American Southwest Credit Union would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the cities of Sierra Vista, Hereford and Palominas, and all of the emergency workers, federal agencies, and local and national businesses who helped keep the fire from causing any more destruction than it did.
We would also like to recognize all volunteers who selflessly devoted their own time, homes and supplies to keep displaced families comfortable during a horrible situation. ASCU employees also banded together during business hours to assist fellow employees in evacuating family members, animals and personal items from their Hereford homes. We are happy to report that everyone is safe!
American Southwest Credit Union is accepting cash donations at any of our seven locations to assist in relief efforts. All donations will be forwarded to the American Red Cross for support of the Monument Fire evacuees. If you would like to participate, please ask any of our friendly tellers or member service representatives. We are so proud that the city of Sierra Vista and all of the outlying communities have shown so much support to each other in these rough times!
