American Southwest Credit Union Opens Its Newest Branch
ASCU was proud to officially open its newest branch in Sahuarita on June 8, 2011. The grand-opening event included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, food, door prizes and plenty of helping hands to assist members in our newest location. Board members and employees greeted new and existing ASCU members who came in to participate in the event. In addition, city of Sahuarita council member Rosanna Gabaldon; former state representative Randy Graf; and Green Valley/Sahuarita Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jim DiGiacomo offered their congratulations for joining the community of area businesses.
The Sahuarita Branch actually started operation in July 2007 next to the Safeway shopping center on the west side of the Duval Mine Road freeway exit. The preliminary location allowed ASCU the opportunity to open for business prior to purchasing a permanent home. When the Wachovia Branch building became available, ASCU board and management saw the potential of the site and made preparations to acquire the vacant building. We are very proud of our newest branch and our growing membership base in the Sahuarita/Green Valley area.
