Overdraft/Line of Credit

Overdraft Protection Program is a special overdraft service for your Classic Checking or Prestige Checking account. Your overdraft limit depends on the type of checking account you have. Normally a Classic Checking has an overdraft limit of $400.00 and a Prestige Checking has a limit of $700.00.

Overdraft Protection Program is a non-contractual courtesy that will cover certain transactions and requires no action on your part. We will notify you if an overdraft occurs. You should not consider or use Overdraft Protection as a line of credit or as a regular source of funds. Under our standard Overdraft practices the payment fee schedule is:
$0.01 to $10.00 - No Charge
$10.01 to $100.00 - $25.00
$100.01 and over - $28.00

Also, if your account remains negative for more than 30 days, the account will be considered “not in good standing” and may be closed.

Overdraft Protection Program is automatically available after your checking account is open for 30 days as long as you maintain your checking account in good standing (defined as making regular deposits and bringing your account to a positive balance, including payment of all Credit Union fees charged to your account, at least once every 30 days).

Your Overdraft Protection limit may be available to you by writing a check, reoccurring Visa debit card transactions, and ACH transactions. This limit will not be reflected in your balance provided by a teller, at the ATM, or through Home Banking.*

Overdraft Protection should not be viewed as an encouragement to overdraw your account. As always, we encourage you to manage your finances responsibly. If you have questions about this service, please call (520) 459-1860 or (800) 752-6394.
