Monster Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
1 cup margarine (softened, but not melted)
1 cup shortening
1 1/3 cup sugar
1 1/3 cup brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp water
3 cups flour
4 cups quick oats
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp salt
1 bag semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix margarine, shortening, eggs, sugars, vanilla and water until just smooth. Separately mix the flour, oats, baking soda and salt. Mix the dry and wet ingredients together. Add the chocolate chips last.
On ungreased cookie sheets, place 8 heaping soup spoon scoops on the cookie sheets and bake until the cookie just looks dry in the middle, but not browned, about 10-12 minutes. This is a moist cookie so don’t over-bake.
Best with a tall glass of milk or chocolate milk. Enjoy!
